Utility player Patrick Senfuka has abandoned Mbarara City Football Club for nemesis side, Nyamityobora F.C.

Despite having trained and played the build-up game when Nyamityobora hosted Vipers in the one all draw, Senfuka failed to agree terms with officials at the club.

He thus returned to Kampala and resumed business with his Ngeye clan where he is captain before crossing over to Nyamityobora after agreeing terms with the club director Ali Ssekatawa.

Senfuka won the league with Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) football club during the 2010/11 season.

In an exclusive interview with Kawowo Sports, he has expressed the due willingness to help Nyamityobora F.C get promoted to the top flight;

I am happy to have agreed terms with Nyamityobora. Football Club

Definitely, the prime objective together with my other teammates will be to play well, win matches and qualify to the top flight

At the club managed by Alex Isabirye, who replaced Charles Ayiekho Lukula, he joins other experienced guards as Elukanah Nkugwa, Musa Docca, Titus Lubega, Godfrey Buni, Bruhan Matovu and Godfrey Ssempiira.

Last season, Nyamitybora had a splendid season last term, often playing neck to neck with the likes of Masavu, Mbarara City and Synergy but succumbed where it mattered most.

The FUFA Big league is divided into two groups – Elgon and Rwenzori.

The winner of each group qualifies directly to the Uganda Premier League.

The third club is determined via a promotional play off.

David Isabirye is a senior staff writer for Kawowo Sports where he covers most of the major events.
