Uganda Cranes’ Micheal Azira didn’t smile away the weekend in the U.S.A because his club, Colorado Rapids failed to communicate well, conceding an own goal on Saturday.

Azira witnessed colleague and Rapids defender Jared Watts suffer a misunderstanding with goalkeeper Tim Howard eventually conceding in the 27th minute.

Watts attempted a back pass from about 40 yards out, but didn’t hit the ball where he wanted.

The daisy-cutter ball was out of Howard’s reach and proved enough for a victory.

Rapids Bismark Boateng forced a save Hamid in the 36th minute. The shot-stopper was again up to the challenge diving through the air on three and making a volleyball-style save later on.
