Ibrahim Kirya believes his side are good to go for the title when the 2017-18 Uganda Premier League season gets underway.

The campaign kicks off on September 12, 2017 and after release of the fixtures by the league secretariat, Kirya says nothing to take back.

“Fixtures are like a woman in a labour ward,” Kirya told the Daily Monitor.  “Once there be prepared for everything that comes your way,” he added.

The former SC Villa and Lweza tactician however says there are still areas his side must improve and if sorted, no doubt about staging a title fight.

Although we still have to strengthen our defence and attack, we will go for the title.

The Tax Collectors get the campaign underway with a home tie against UPDF at Namboole on Wednesday September 13, and then visit Kirinya Jinja SS three days later.

The third game for Kirya and his charges will be a trip to Luzira to face Maroons on September 19 before facing KCCA on September 29 and also host Onduparaka on October 3
