Former Uganda Cranes coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic has urged his “fellow” countrymen not to give up as yet, following their 1-0 loss to Egypt in the World Cup qualifiers in Alexandria on Tuesday.

Uganda was unbeaten in the competition until their second leg against Egypt. Moses Basena’s side had clinched a 1-0 victory at Namboole to take over Group E leadership.

Micho requested “his” Ugandans to push for victories against Ghana (at home) and Congo (away) to realise the much sought dream of making the finals in Russia, a journey he started with now interim coach Moses Basena and Fred Kajoba.
“Up your head my Ugandans we did our best but unfortunately it was not enough. Situation is under control let’s beat Ghana, Congo than go to WC..[Sic],” he wrote on his social media page.
