Aucho Khalid is on the verge of sealing a move to an unidentified club less than 24 hours after Hassan Wasswa joined Tala’a El-Geish.
The two featured in central midfield in Uganda Cranes back-to-back games against the Pharaohs of Egypt and caught the eyes of a couple of Egyptian clubs.
Wasswa penned a two year deal with El Geish on Wednesday and news coming through is that Aucho, who until the transfer window shut was a target for Scottish side Dundee FC is on the verge of joining a top Egyptian side.
When contacted, his agent Geoffrey Kayemba confirmed there is a pending deal in Egypt with giants Zamalek reportedly the team interested although he couldn’t get the depth of every detail.
“There has been contact from a couple of clubs including Zamalek,” he told Kawowo Sports. “But no deal signed so far so will get back to you when everything is sorted,” he added.
Zamalek has not yet confirmed to Kawowo Sports of its interest in Aucho though it’s reported that both Wasswa and Aucho will remain in Cairo when the Uganda Cranes return home after the 1-0 loss to Egypt.
The national team arrives in the wee hours of Friday morning.
