Rudy Cantanhede and David Israel remain the crew with the most victories in the Rwanda mountain gorilla rally; three wins under their belts.
While they head for this weekend’s, the RC motorsport crew have their sights on the fourth win.
Rudy came closer to registering his fourth victory last year in a Mitsubishi EvoIV only for mechanical problems to end his ambition in the final stages.
“I am excited to be back in action after a year. We are looking forward to have as much fun as possible this weekend.
“We shall focus on top position and if we may win for the fourth time we shall be happy. Winning is not our priority but it would be a nice achievement for us,” says Israel, Cantanhede’s long time navigator.
The crew will enter the weekend’s event with a Mitsubishi EvoIX formerly owned by Kenya’s Frank Tundo.
“Yes we see that most fans are excited about us. But as I said anything is possible and we will just take on the race the way it is as we entertain the fans,”
“The fight in this race is wide open with some fast drivers taking part like Manvir, Bukera, Davite and also the Zambians will all be targeting best positions.”
“The routes are Fast and Fast for furious especially on Saturday. The People will have to make their car suffering to be on top on Saturday,” he added.
