The Uganda Premier League has issued a four match touchline ban for Bright Stars coach Fred Kajoba for alleged misconduct.

Kajoba allegedly verbally attacked referee Denis Batte on Tuesday at Matugga in the goalless draw with Vipers on the league opening day.

According to the letter signed by league CEO Bernard Bainamani, Kajoba broke article 30(2) of the FUFA Competitions Rules 2017/18 that says;

‘A participant shall at all times act in the best interests of the game and shall not act in any manner which is improper or brings the game into disrepute or use any one, or a combination of; violent conduct, serious foul play, threatening, abusive, indecent or insulting words or behavior.’

Pursuant to article 30(8), Mr Fred Kajoba has been given a four match touchline ban for AUPL matches with immediate effect.

With no room to appeal, the ban begins with immediate effect and thus Kajoba will miss matches against Soana (a), Mbarara City (a), Kirinya Jinja SS (h) and UPDF (a).
