
Reigning champions KCCA sent a strong warning to title competitors with a deserving 4-1 win over reckless Onduparaka at Lugogo on Tuesday afternoon.
Derrick Nsibambi, Jackson Nunda and Tito Okello plus Muhammad Rashid own goal were all the hosts needed to win comfortably and go top at least for now.
Muhammad Rashid later made amends with a brilliant headed goal to earn the visitors a late consolation.
The Caterpillars were resistant until the 32nd minute when Sabir Simba back pass gifted Nsibambi with the opener.
Earlier, midfielders Allan Okello and Muzamiru Mutyaba forced brilliant saves from arguably man of the match Nicholas Sebwato in the visitors’ goal.
Nsibambi also had efforts on targeted thwarted away by the former SC Villa and Bright Stars goalkeeper.
At the start of the second half, Leo Adraa called the first change with Rajab Kakooza paving way for Kabon Living as the visitors went all out in search for a leveller.
However, it was KCCA that doubled their lead with a brilliant chip from Mutyaba forcing Rashid to turn the ball into his own net on the hour mark.
Mike Mutebi made a change with Paul Mucureezi replacing Julius Poloto and later Jackson Nunda, out for months with an injury coming on for Allan Okello.

The midfield gem capped his substitute appearance with a beautiful strike getting at the end of Patrick Kaddu brush, faked the goalie before slotting home to a rapturous applause from the home fans five minutes to time.
Another substitute Tito Okello made it 4-0 with an easy strike with Kaddu bagging another assist.
Okello had come on Nsibambi who opened the floodgates at the fully packed Lugogo stands.
In the final minute of added time, Gadafi Wahab corner was met by Rashid who headed past Benjamin Ochan who also had a good game to keep the visitors at bay.
For now, KCCA lead the log with five points after three games whilst Onduparaka move
