Sharon Namatovu scored a hat-trick in Mutesa I Royal University’s 4-2 victory over Buganda Royal University as the 2017-18 Women National Beach Soccer League kicked off on Sunday at Lido Beach in Entebbe.

Caroline Anyangu got the other goal for Mutesa I Royal University while Stellah Namisango and Precious Najjemba were on target for Buganda Royal.

Mutesa led 1-0 by the end of first period. They maintained the lead at the end of the second period 2-1 and completed the dominance in the final period of the exciting game.

In the other women game played on the day, KJT Ladies overcame Talented 2-1.

Justin Najjuko led the way with a brace for KJT as Aisha Mbabazi struck Talented’s consolation.
