With just 2-3 league fixtures played in the current campaign, the Uganda Premier League secretariat has announced adjustments in the 2017/18 fixture.

The changes follow a letter from the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) notifying the secretariat of the Uganda Cranes preparations for the game against Ghana on October 7 in the FIFA 2018 World Cup qualifiers.

“The UPL Secretariat is in receipt of a letter from FUFA notifying us of the Uganda Cranes preparation against Ghana Black Stars on Saturday 7th October 2017 at Mandela National Stadium (Namboole)…,”read part of the statement signed by League CEO Bernard Bainamani.

“Accordingly the fixture has been adjusted to give the national team ample space to prepare for this world cup qualifiers match against Ghana which requires full participation of selected players from various premier league clubs”

“We have considered their request and accordingly made these adjustments; Match-Day 4 Tuesday 26th September 2017

M#30 SC Villa Vs Mbarara City FC, Masaka Recreation Ground at 4:30pm

M#31 BUL FC Vs UPDF FC, Kakindu Stadium-Jinja at 4:30pm

M#32 Express FC Vs Maroons FC, Mutesa II Stadium-Wankulukuku at 4:30pm

All fixtures on Match Day 5 that were to be played on Tuesday 3rd October 2017 and Wednesday 4th October 2017 have been moved to Tuesday 19 December 2017 and Wednesday 20th December 2017 respectively as indicated on the adjusted fixture that is attached.

These include the highly anticipated Kampala derby between KCCA and Express FC, Soana against Police FC, Kirinya Jinja SS versus SC Villa, Maroons Vs Bul, Mbarara City Vs Masavu, Vipers Vs Proline and URA at home to Onduparaka.

The other fixture include UPD FC against Bright Stars at Bombo.
