
Soana Captain Ibrahim Kizza and Masavu FC assistant coach cum manager Joseph Mutyaba have been suspended by the Uganda Premier League.
The two are suspended on recommendation from the FUFA Competitions Disciplinary Panel in regard to AUPL Match 20 Soana FC Vs Masavu FC that was played on Tuesday 19th September 2017.
Pizza has been suspended for two matches while Mutyaba faces a four match touchline ban.
Kizza’s ban results from his unsporting behavior as per the referee’s report in which he claims the former KCCA and Express defender threatened violence against the match officials.
Soana FC captain, Ibrahim Kizza (Shirt 04) is suspended for two matches for threatening violence against the match officials (referee) and for unsporting behavior {Article 30.2 of FUFA Competitions rules}. This ban takes immediate effect.
Meanwhile, Mutyaba’s four match touchline ban also takes immediate effect and he has also been barred accessing the dressing rooms on match day.
Mr Mutyaba Joseph is not allowed to access the dressing room while serving the ban {Article 30.8(iii)} of FUFA Competitions rules. This ban takes immediate effect.
The former midfielder could also face further sanctions on allegations of trying to bribe the referees.
The case of referee’s allegations against Mr. Mutyaba Joseph that he wanted favour from the referee has also been forwarded to the FUFA Disciplinary Committee for further investigations and action.
Any party dissatisfied with this decision has a right to appeal to a higher FUFA judicial body within 48hours.
