Ugandan runner Joshua Cheptegei claimed the 2017 Durban 10K CITYSURFRUN posting a new personal best in South Africa on Sunday.

Cheptegei – just from London where he put up a spectacular 10,000m Silver Medal winning performance at the World Athletics Championships – ran the fourth fastest time this year.
He crossed the line in 27:28, after a 10km journey through the city, past a number of Durban’s iconic landmarks.
The time he ran the distance was faster than that of Laredo, Spain (27:46) in March last year.
The 21-year-old braved the windy conditions, reaching the tape before Stephen Kissa and Julien Wanders.
