Ahead of the highly anticipated league match against Vipers SC, Police FC defender Steven Mugisha aka Nesta is confident of toppling the log leaders.

The two sides face off at Namboole on Saturday in arguably the biggest match day five fixture with Police seeking a return to winning ways after losing 1-0 to Onduparaka while Vipers want to maintain their good run.

Mugisha, who missed the loss to the Caterpillars through injury, says that although they have respect for their opponents, they are not afraid of them and hopes home advantage will spur the Cops.

“We respect Vipers but they are coming in our backyard,” he told Kawowo Sports.  “We boost of a good record here (home) and we want to build on that,” he added.

Like Mugisha, there are number of players returning from injury which is a big boost to the Cops according to the defender.

“Most of our injured players are back so we want all three points,” he stated.

Police FC sit third on the log with 7 points, three behind log leaders Vipers and a win will see them reclaim top spot.
