As the 2017-18 Buganda Regional League officially kicked, two clubs that are favourites for the promotional slot, Kiboga Young and Entebbe lost their respective matches.
Kiboga Young fell to Busiro United 2-0 in Kiboga during a Katonga Group encounter.

Free Stars condemned Azam 2-0 as Uganda Martyrs smiled to a slim one-nil victory over visiting Seeta United.
