Kamwokya-based Ntinda United will kick start life in the FUFA Big League with a home encounter against Greater Masaka United on Thursday.

Having missed action on match day one last week, newly promoted Ntinda United rolls into action with a much anticipated game before eager home fans at the dusty and barren Kamwokya playground along Kira road.

Led by Peter Musoke as head coach, Ntinda United faces a wounded side that fell 1-0 in their opener at Masaka Recreational stadium to Kira United.

The home side will be inspired by defender Godfrey Mugambwa, goalkeeper Joseph Kigozi, skipper George Otim and Wycliff Nyanzi among others.

For starters, Otim scored the winning goal for Ntinda United as they were promoted to the top tier from Kampala Region.

Greater Masaka United, a side that evolved from the relegated Lweza F.C shall dwell upon the experience of left winger Yasin Ssali, formerly at Lweza and recently Masavu.

In the other matches, Nyamityobora, who drew their opening home game at Simba hosts Kasese-based Suncity, Kitara is away to Kira United at the Kira Municipal Council playground.

On form Kansai Plascon will entertain Simba at the Naro Ntawo playground, Kireka United shall play new entrants Bumate United and Synergy is at home against a vastly experienced Water side at the St Charles Lwanga Kasasa playground in Masaka.

Meanwhile, in the Elgon group, there are six games on the menu.

Allan Kabonge’s Lira United is away to newly promoted Agape F.C in Namutumba, Kyetume shall entertain Bukedea Town Council at the Nakisunga Saaza ground as JMC Hippos will face Mbale based Kataka at the Kakindu Stadium, Jinja.

Away in Lira, Amuka Bright Stars who traveled away in their last encounter will this time be at home as they play host to Ndejje University at the Lira Town College playground.

In Busia, Busia Fisheries will entertain Moyo’s Vura at the Madibira Playground, and seasoned Kamuli Park faces Zombo’s Paidah Black Angels at the Kamuli Park Municipal Ground.

Four clubs shall be promoted to the Uganda Premier League for the season 2017-18.
