KCCA FC coach Mike Mutebi has played down his side’s poor start to to the campaign saying log leaders Police and Onduparaka are not where they are by accident.
Mutebi has seen KCCA’s worst start since he took over by winning just two games in eight so far in the season.
The former SC Villa and Maroons coach says people expect a lot from KCCA but doesn’t believe the start has been poor.
“We have 10 points, the leaders have 16 and I don’t think it’s a poor start,” he told the press ahead of Masavu visit.
“We have lifted the bar high and people expect a lot from us but we are not far from where we belong,” he added. “And by the way, Onduparaka (2nd) and Police (1st) have been doing things right and are not where they are by accident. It’s only that people took eyes off them and concentrated on the traditional teams but have done things right from pre-season.
Mutebi however demanded a reaction from his charges against the new league entrants saying this could be the turning point in the Yellow boys season.
The players must take responsibility and play to the expectations of everyone. I am confident of victory tomorrow and it may turn out to be the turning point in our season.
Mutebi has promised to make two changes from the side that lost to SC Villa last weekend with Allan Oryek and Charles Lukwago expected to start.
