Ibrahim Sadam Juma has defended goalkeeper Benjamin Ochan following a howler against Zambia stating ‘we lose and win as a team’.

A section of Uganda Cranes fans castigated the experienced KCCA custodian after he conceded easily for Chipolopolo third goal but Sadam, who has played with Ochan since his young days insists he is a very good goalkeeper.

“We have belief in every player in the team,” Sadam told a press conference in Morocco. “We all win or lose as a team. We never pick out individuals for any mistakes made during the game. Mistakes are made by the entire team not just one player’ added Sadam.

We have total confidence in every player in the team. We know Ochan is a very good goalkeeper and we trust him. Everyone in camp is looking forward to the game against Namibia.

Ochan is expected to lose his starting berth against Namibia with Ismail Watenga set to start after serving a one match ban.
