Wasteful Police FC played to a barren stalemate with lower division side Kamuli Select in a trial game played in Kamuli.

The Cops, who a day earlier had put five past FUFA Big League side Ntinda United had chances through Albert Mugisa, Ben Ocen Shakur Makeera and Juma Balinya among others.

The Cops started with Ocen upfront with Balinya playing off him while defender Martin Aniku partnered Steven Mugisha at the heart of defence.

In the second half, Coach Abdallah Mubiru made changes with Pius Kagwa, Mufti Luzinda and Samuel Kayongo replacing Ruben Kimera, Ben Ocen and Mugisha respectively.

Mubiru was impressed with the team’s performance but rued missed chances.

“The game wasn’t bad but we failed to put away the many chances created,” he told Kawowo Sports. “It’s a little disappointing but we also didn’t defend better despite keeping a clean sheet,” he added.

Police FC are fine tuning for the second half of the season and the Uganda Cup round of 64 tie against Greater Masaka on February 3 at Masaka Recreation Ground.
