
Soana Football Club has completed the signing of former Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) Football Club lanky forward Petit Wanok.
Wanok signed for the car sellers’ club for the period of one year as a free agent.
“Yes. We signed Petit Wanok to fill in one of the two slots after the departure of our former players” head coach Alex Isabirye confirmed.
Standing at 6 feet plus, Wanok becomes the second transfer target for Soana in the second transfer window after Simon Okwi who also signed one year from Uganda Revenue Authority Football Club.
The former Sports Club Victoria University center forward joins Soana to boost their attacking line at a time left winger Baker Lukooya left for Kenyan side AFC Leopards.
During the 2015/16 season, Wanok was signed by Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club a on six months’ probation.
He joins Steven Ategeka, Baker Buyala and Okwi upfront in the quest for the much needed goals at the club.
Soana also released Hamis Katende in December 2018.
After a successful 3-0 Uganda Cup victory on the road at Ntungamo based Ntoda Football Club, Soana resumed training on Tuesday morning at their barren and dusty Nakasero primary school play ground in the heart of Kampala city.
Meanwhile, Soana F.C players resumed training on Tuesday morning at Nakasero primary after a one day’s rest.
Soana is among the clubs that progressed to the round of 32 stage after Baker Buyala, Abdallah Nyanzi and Steven Ategeka netted for Alex Isabirye’s coached side.
Isabirye will starting this second round mark his second lease as head coach at Soana F.C.
