KCCA commence their Uganda Cup defence with a tricky tie against Mbarara FC minus a number of key players.

Ibrahim Sadam Juma, Muzamiru Mutyaba, Derrick Nsibambi and Muhammad Shaban are all out of the squad that travelled to Mbarara on Friday.

In addition, the team are without striker Derrick Nsibambi while new goalkeeper Tom Ikara was also left out of the 18-man squad.

Nevertheless, Mike Mutebi, KCCA manager is optimistic the ‘young’ squad will do well.

“I have confidence in these boys to perform well,” he told the press before the team departed.

The Kasasiro will look to Allan Okello, Julius Poloto and fast rising Steven Sserwadda for inspiration.

KCCA’s last visit to Kakyeeka ended in a goalless draw against premiership side, Mbarara City.
