KCCA Football Club has concluded their preparations for their first leg of the CAF Champions League away tie against Madagascar opponents CNaps.

On Wednesday, KCCA whipped Police 4-1 in a one sided encounter at StarTimes Stadium, Lugogo.

Teenager Allan Okello scored an incredible brace in the game watched by a partisan crowd. Muhammad Shaban and Paul Mucureezi were also on target for the Kasasiro lads.

Okello put KCCA ahead in the 10th minute after exchange of passes with Julius Poloto on the right flank.

The pint sized play maker expertly finished off the advancing Douglas Kisembo in the Police goal post for the eye catching opener.

Towering forward Norman Ojik quickly made amends with powerful header off Ruben Kimera’s teasing cross on 19 minutes.

Ten minutes later, KCCA were once again in the driving seat after striker Muhammad Shaban’s great solo run.

Striker Patrick Kaddu was denied by Kisembo from close range after a clever through ball from Poloto.

Moments later, Poloto crossed for Kaddu but the former Maroons forward powerfully headed in the palms of Kisembo as the first 45 minutes ended 2-1.

The two sides made a couple of changes as the second half returned.

Derrick Nsibambi and Ibrahim Sadam Juma replaced Shaban and Lawrence Bukenya respectively.

Okello’s chip from 20 yards kissed the cross bar before bouncing into the net after Nsibambi had set him up with Kisembo out of position.

Substitute Sadam assisted fellow subsistute Paul Mucureezi for the fourth goal that was the icing on the cake.

Sadam chipped in Mucureezi’s path, beating the off-side trap before the fast paced forward beat the advancing Kisembo with a side step touch to tap in an empty net for another beauty.

After the match, KCCA manager, Mike Mutebi praised the performance of his charges, saluting the opponents for the great competition rendered.

Addressing a post-match press conference, Mutebi noted;

It is good to play well, pass the ball, create chances and convert them.

Our opponents (Police) were also a great side as they gave us some challenge especially in the opening minutes of the game.

This is a perfect build-up ahead of the CAF Champions League.

Two goal hero, Okello down played his individual brilliance but saluted the effort of his other teammates.

“Football is team effort. It does not matter if I score or not. I am happy we all do well as a team,” the deep voiced immensely talented left footed gem noted.

The build up was used as a fundraiser for former KCCA and Uganda Cranes player, Ausi Kaaya, who is battling Tuber Cluosis.

All the 18 players on that featured in the friendly match will be traveling with the team to Madagascar on Thursday morning.

This was KCCA’s third successive build up in a space of 72 hours after the one-all draw with KJT on Monday and the 5-0 win against Industrial Area.

KCCA’s CAF Champions League preliminary round match away to CNaps will be played on Saturday.
