Uganda Christian University (UCU) Lady Cardinals registered the biggest victory as the second round of the FUFA Women Elite League resumed over the weekend.
UCU Lady Cardinals recorded an emphatic 5-0 win against Wakiso Hills at their Mukono main campus playground.
Kenyan import and goal scoring machine Moureen Kinavudori led the way with a well taken hat-trick.
2016 FUFA Women Footballer of the Year and two time league top scorer Hasifa Nasunah as well as Teddy Najuma completed the rout for the Mukono based club.
Meanwhile, She Mak was condemned to a 3-0 loss by Uganda Martyrs Lubaga during another league match played at Makerere University playground. Sharon Namatovu’s two goals on the evening were complemented by Spencer Nakacwa’s other strike.
At Villa Park, Kampala Queens, a club owned by the FUFA President Moses Magogo smiled to a 3-1 win against visiting Isra Academy.
Tried and tested Rita Nakirijja, Damalie Matama and Mable Kusasira scored for Kampala Queens, who are also coached by the national team head coach Faridah Bulega. Mwajuma Namukwasi had the goal for Isra Academy to give the scoreline a respectable second look.
Naome Nagadya and Noelina Namiiro scored for She Corporate against visiting Western United in the 2-0 win at the MUBS Playground in Nakawa.
Eastern Heroes were a no show at their own grave yard against visiting Olila High School.
The FUFA Competitions department will pronounce themselves about the matter of Eastern Heroes.
The Sunday games followed those two matches played on Saturday.
The league will return next week.
