A parity thirty four (34) goals were scored in ten (10) matches as the Uganda National Beach Soccer League returned on Sunday at Lido Beach in Entebbe.

17 goals were scored in the four men games, the same number of goals recorded in six women matches.

The highly anticipated Nkumba University – Isabeti game failed to live to its billing, bearing no goal after the three playing periods.

Reigning champions Makerere University Business School (MUBS) were the biggest winners on the day, scoring seven against Sand Lions in the 7-2 win.

Frank Bomboka and Tony Esude each scored a hat-trick on the day, before Fahad Mawanda’s brace and one goal by Seif Matovu.

Kampala International University (KIU) beat Talented 3-2. KIU captain Geofrey Kabwai led by example with a goal before a brace from Nigerian ace Isaac Ishioke. John Sekandi and Michael Kisembo replied for Talented to give the match a nail biting finish.

Mitoola Resort edged Stormers 2-1 in another low scoring game. John Mwasa Mukwaya and Herbert Luboyera scored for Mitoola Resort beach as the consolation for Stormers came from Uganda Sand Cranes player Ronald Magwari .

Women Games

Entebbe Ladies attained their first win of the season, triumphing 2-1 win against Talented. Jacqueline Namujju and Latifa Katana found the goals for Entebbe Ladies as Jauhar Nakibuye scored the consolation for Talented.

Nkumba University and KJT ladies played to a barren stalemate.

Katuuso Community overcame Alphoneix Golden Girls 3-2. Nuru Nakyanzi, Fatuma Nakasumba (brace) got the goals for Katuus Community whilst Jovia Namukwaya and Patience Nabuloobi replied for Alphoenix.

Habiba Nakayobyo scored the lone goal in thee 1-0 win for Muteesa I Royal University against KJT ladies.

Ajax Queens and Nkumba University settled for a two goal draw. Pint sized albeit talented gem Lillian Mutuuzo and Dorren Ondoa scored for Nkumba University.

Ondoa (own goal) and Lukia Namubiru were the names of goal scorers for Ajax Queens.

Katuuso Community were 3-1 winners over Entebbe Ladies. Fatima Nakasumba (two goals) and Nuru Nakyanzi got the goals for Katuuso Community. Jacqueline Namujju grabbed Entebbe Ladies consolation.

The league will return next Sunday.
