FUFA Big League outfit, Kitara Football Club will face Uganda Premier League side Express F.C at the barren and dusty Boma play ground, Hoima during one of the matches for the round of 32 stage.

This will be the third year in a row that the Hoima based side shall lock horns with the Red Eagles in the oldest knock out football tournament which kicked off in 1971.

Kitara players as Rogers Lukwiya and his brother Derrick Tekkwo shall have a chance to face their former club.

The draws for this year’s Uganda Cup round of 32 stage were held on Tuesday at Umoja House in Kampala, shortly after the official handover of sponsorship from Stanbic Bank.

The bank was was announced as the title sponsors of the tournament with a financial package of Shs.300M.

Other Fixtures:

Vipers Sports Club will square off with another top flight side Police at the St Mary’s Stadium in Kitende.

Simba will entertain KCCA at Bombo military stadium whilst Soana will host Onduparaka at Kavumba Recreational Stadium.

Sports Club Villa Jogoo will play host to fellow Uganda Premier League side Bright Stars at Masaka Recreational stadium.

Two Big league clubs Ndejje University and Ntinda United shall square off as so shall Kira United against Lira United at the Kira play ground in Namugongo.

The FUFA Competitions Department will confirm the dates for the matches in the due course.

The winner of the FUFA Uganda Cup gets a nod to represent the country at the CAF Confederation Cup.

The champion shall smile home with Shs. 30M, the runner ups will getUGX20m, semi- finalists Shs. 10m each while the quarter finalists will each receive Shs 5m.

KCCA is the reigning champion.
