Paul Mucureezi lone strike put KCCA in the next round of the CAF Champions League as the hosts won 1-0 against Madagascar’s CNaPS Sport.
In a tightly contested but entertaining affair, the visitors had two good opportunities to take the day but were denied by Man of the Match Charles Lukwago.
Lukwago was immense in goal but how did he and rest rate on the day?
Charles Lukwago 8.0: Another Man of the Match performance to keep KCCA in the competition. He made two point blank saves to keep CNaPS Sport at bay including one in the last minute.
Filbert Obenchan 5.5: A tough afternoon for the young man against skillful opponents but never gave up the chase even when beaten.
Habib Kavuma 6.0: Only twice was he beaten on pace but was fantastic with last ditch tackles to deny the CNaPS Sports forwards.
Timothy Awany 6.5: Read the game well and won a number of aerial duels but was made to suffer for the result.
Mustapha Kizza 5.5: Suspect defensively but his trade mark ‘European’ pass never deserted him. He assisted the winner from a corner kick.
Denis Okot 5.0: A torrid afternoon defensively but was an asset going forward. Withdrawn two minutes into the second half for Muhammad Shaban.
Isaac Kirabira 5.0: Intercepted a number of opposition attacks and also made a good combination with youngster Lawrence Bukenya.
Lawrence Bukenya 5.0: A couple of misplaced passes but overall, he did well and looked unfazed by the occasion.
Paul Mucureezi 6.0: The match winner had an average performance by his standards, looked tired and often failed to beat his men but the most important thing is that he won the game with a point blank header.
Allan Okello 5.0: The midfield magician had a silent afternoon in office against tactically astute CNaPS Sport but had two good moments that nearly resulted into goals.
Derrick Nsibambi 5.0: He lacked service especially in the first half but improved when paired with Shaban in the second half as KCCA piled pressure.

Solomon Okwalinga 3.0: Had little impact when he came on for Okello eight minutes to the game.
