FUFA Big League side Kira United maintained their fine run in the 2017/2018 Uganda Cup.

Kira United overcame visiting Lira United 2-1 at the Kira Town council play ground on Thursday during one of the six round of 32 games on the evening.

Hamimu Ssemakula and Churchill Kanyanya were on target for Kira United.

Elsewhere, Proline recovered from a goal down to pip Luweero United 2-1 at Lugogo.

Joshua ‘Letti’ Lubwama gave Luweero United the first half lead.

Gerald Ekalungu and Joseph Mandela replied for Mujib Kasule’s side.

Luwero based Busula humiliated Amuka Bright Stars 4-1, the same result that Ndejje University registered against visiting Ntinda United.

A second division side, Synergy from Masaka overcame a top flight club Masavu 1-0.

The lowest ranked club still left in the championship, Kampala Junior Team (KJT) pipped West Nile regional outfit, Arua Tigers 1-0 at Villa Park.

KCCA is the reigning champion of the tournament and they are already through to the round of 16 stage.
