FUFA Drum: Bukedi 0-1 Kampala

Vipers Sports Club dread-locked striker Dan ‘Muzeyi’ Sserunkuma was the hero for Kampala Province in their 1-0 away FUFA Drum victory over Bukedi at the Budaka Saza Ground on Sunday.

Sserunkuma, a second half subsistute for Wasswa Bbosa’s coached star studded side struck with less than three minutes to the game death to break the hearts of the Bukedi players and enthusiastic fans alike.

This was one of the seven matches played on Sunday as the inter-provinces football tournament officially got underway.

Teso were the biggest winners on the weekend, triumphing 8-0 past Sebei.

Kigezi condemned Buganda 1-0 at the Masaka Recreational Stadium in arguably the biggest shock of the opening match day one.

The much awaited derby between Lango and Acholi at the Lango Sports Ground lived to its true billing.

Acholi beat Lango 2-0 on the day to own the first leg bragging rights.

Karamoja held another star studded side, West Nile to a one all draw in Moroto.

Away in Hoima at the Boma ground, Bunyoro and Rwenzori played to a 2 all draw.

At the Kakyeka stadium in Mbarara, home team Ankole smiled to a 2-1 win against Tooro Province in another well attended match.
