Rimula Rhinos suffered a major set back in the chase for the 2017-18  National Rugby Premiership title after falling to Heathens 23-15 on Saturday at Legends.

After falling behind 13-00 in the first half, second half tries from David Otwi and Michale Amolo coupled with a drop goal and conversion from Kevin Makmot were not enough for Rhinos to get the win.

Rhinos thus fell behind to pace setters Pirates by seven points and five points behind second placed Kobs.

Adrian Kasito, Simon Makumbi and Ian Munyani all crossed the line for Kobs in the first half with James Ijongat converting Makumbi and Munyani’s tries for a 19-00 lead by halftime.

It was all Buffaloes after the break but they could not wipe out the deficit as Kobs stayed locked in for the win.
