The draw for the group stage of the Total CAF Champions League was held on Wednesday, 21 March 2018 in Cairo, Egypt.

Uganda’s representatives in the group stages, Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) were drawn in group A alongside Egypt’s Al Ahly, Tunisian opponents Esperance and Botswana’s Township Rollers.
For starters, Township Rollers is home to Uganda Cranes midfielder Ivan ‘Kojja’ Ntege.
Group B has TP Mazembe (DR Congo), Mouloudia Club D’Alger (Algeria), Difaa Hassani El Jadidi (Morocco) and E.S Setifienne (Algeria)
As Togo Port De Lome (Algeria), Mamelodi Sundowns (South Africa), Wydad Atletic Club (Morocco) and Horoya A.C (Guinea) completed group C.
In group D, there is Zesco United (Zambia), Primeiro De Agosto (Angola), Etoile du Sahel (Tunisia) and Mbabane Swallows (Swaziland)
Ambassadors for the CAF Interclubs, Angolan Gilberto and South African Mark Fish assisted CAF General Secretary Amr Fahmy to conduct the draw.
