Al Ahly Director of Football Sayed Abdel Hafiz says his side will still pay much attention to KCCA and Township Rollers despite being debutants.
The two sides were drawn together with Al Ahly and Tunisia’s Esperance in group A of the CAF Champions League on Wednesday in Cairo.
Sayed described the draw as balanced and looks forward to the game against Esperance as one that is always packed with excitement.
“It is a balanced draw,” he said. “Ahly will open our campaign against a strong team like Esperance, and matches between the two sides are always excitement packed,” he added.
It is always important to start on a good note, and we will prepare towards that. It is also necessary to pay attention to KCCA and Township Rollers, despite being debutants at this stage.
Al Ahly get their campaign started with a home tie against Esperance in Cairo and visit KCCA in their second game in May.
