The 2018 FIM Africa, Central Africa Motocross Championship (CAC) returns to Uganda for the first round.

The action will take course on Easter Sunday at the Motorsports Arena, Busiika.

Team Uganda will field over fifty (50) riders in a bid to inaugurate their title defense. Although he will be out action, Maxime Van Pee; the team captain is confident of a great show from the Ugandan team.

“Team Uganda is ready for the race. Over 70 riders are expected to take part this weekend. The fact that Kenya is sending a small number, we have an advantage to win round one,” he asserted.

Busiika track was renovated to farther reach the international standards prior to the CAC event; a second advantage at the disposal of the Ugandan team.

“The track has just been renovated. It’s quite more technical now. The Kenyan riders will not have enough time on the track. So it will be hard for them to adopt to the jumps and new corners unlike Ugandan riders,” added Van Pee.

Team Kenya is expected to field over twenty riders with some already in the country. Meanwhile, the weekend’s event will as well play the second round of the National Motocross Championship.
