Bugema University humiliated visiting Kumi University 5-1 in a one sided Group A encounter of the University Football League on Friday afternoon.

Frank Mugomba led the assault with a brace in the game. Isaac Musiima, Duncan Ssegawa and Aldrine Kambale each scored a goal for the dominant home side.

Musiima shot the home side ahead 20 minutes into the game. Kumi’s Emmanuel Tandema got the equalizer two minutes later.

Mugomba restored Bugema’s lead after 36 minutes, taking a 2-1 advantage into the mandatory half time break.

Five minutes into the second half, Mugomba made it 3-1 before Segawa netted two minutes later, making it 4-1.

Ignatius Obuto scored the sixth goal on the evening, the second for Kumi University to take the game tiding 4-2.

Aldrine Kambale’s last minute goal ensured maximum points for the home side and five up on the day.

Bugema is now top of group A with the same goal difference as UCU won humbled Gulu University 4-0 on Thursday in Mukono.

The league resumes on Saturday with one game when debutants Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU) plays host to Kampala International University (KIU) at the Mbale Municipal stadium.
