Kibuli SS will for the first time in over a decade miss out on the Copa football National Post Primary School finals due in Mbarara after failing the Kampala Regional hurdle.

The record champions missed out on the four slots to represent Kampala District after finishing 5th in the Kampala Regional competition.

Kibuli ended the regional competition, played on ‘mini league’ basis with six points, behind Lubiri SS and Kawempe SS (8 points) and Kawempe and Lubiri SS (10 points).

Meanwhile, the top four will battle each other to determine who takes home the regional trophy.

The highly anticipated matches to determine the winner will be played at Mandela National stadium, Namboole on Saturday April 7, 2018.

Kibuli SS last won the championship in 2016 in Soroti when they beat rivals St. Mary’s Kitende in the finals on penalties.

This year’s finals will be played in Mbarara.
