Police FC coach Abdallah Mubiru was left furious after his side nearly gave away a 2-nil lead in the 2-1 win over Masavu at Namboole.

The Cops were dominant and led 2-0 inside 25 minutes but missed a couple of clear cut chances to keep Masavu hopeful.

“We were dominant, created chances and deserved to win,” said Mubiru. “But am not happy with my boys for failure to kill off games and this nearly cost us,” he added.

Juma Balinya, despite having a good game failed to beat Solomon Wekiya in Masavu’s goal on three occasions when through on goal, Norman Ojik missed a couple of good chances and also sent his headed effort on the cross bar.

Police moved to 31 points with seven games to go and next on agenda is the tough away game against log leaders SC Villa.

Last season, the Cops were one of the two sides that held SC Villa at home, in Masaka.
