This will be one among the six games lined up on the day.

The two sides come to this crucial game with losses in their respective last games.

Bright Stars fell on the road 3-2 to Vipers at the St Mary’s Stadium and Soana were 2-0 home losers to table leaders, Sports Club Villa Jogoo.

Fred Kajoba is finally back and settled at Bright Stars after a successful course in the United States of America with New York Red Bulls Football Club.

His club enjoys a lion’s share of wins (3) from the 9 times that these two clubs have crossed the divide.

Soana has just managed one win and the other encounters have been stalemates, the latest being the first round game played at the Kavumba Recreational Stadium when the two clubs shared the spoils one goal apiece.

In that very match, Osama Wejuli scored for Soana and Bright Stars’ talisman cum team captain replied for the visitors.

Coming to the game, Soana sits a slot above with 27 points as Bright Stars have managed 26 points.

Key Players:

Left back Sam Ssekitto has been solid for Bright Stars since he left URA.

He is expected to be a key figure at the back alongside the versatile Sula Ssebunza Ssekajja meanwhile the hard working Brian Enzama, tricky winger John Kokas Opejo, the effective albeit pint sized duo of Henry Kiwanuka and Mahad Kisekka commanding in the mid-field.

Obviously, Uganda Cranes forward Senkatuka will supplement the job up front as he seeks to topple the rest of the scorers.

Without Willy Kavuma and Osama (injured during the FUFA Drum matches), Soana still has the man power at their disposal.

On colour Steven Ategeka will vie for an offensive slot with Emmanuel Kalyowa, the towering Wanok Petit and Baker Buyala up front, meanwhile Paddy Muhumuza remains undisputed in the middle of the pack with the robust Allan Kayiwa orchestrating one flank and Muwadda Mawejje the other.

Meanwhile, Ibrahim Ayub Kizza is the main man at the back alongside central defensive partner Mike Kawooya, former league winner Siraje Turyamureemba (right back) and left back Isa Mubiru.

“This is one game we want to use to bury the tears from the last match we faced SC Villa Jogoo at home” Kalyowa told Kawowo Sports.

Bright Stars head coach Kajoba remains equally upbeat ahead of the game;

“Such games require attention to details. We are prepared mentally to get maximum points at home.” Kajoba, who is also Uganda Cranes goalkeeping coach noted.

The game will be an early kick off arrangement because of the TV schedule.
