YMCA outwitted Makerere University Business School (MUBS) 1-0 on a wet and slippery Buwambo playground during the University Football League Group C match played on Tuesday.
Umar Mulinde scored an own goal following a teasing ball played by George Ddungu after a brush by Ali Mukiibi in the forbidden area.
Two time champions, MUBS is now at a risk of failing to make the quarter finals following their earlier one all draw with Kyambogo at Nakawa.
Kyambogo, had defeated Mbarara University of Science and Technology 5-0 now lead the group with 4 points and a lion’s share of goal difference.
The league resumes on Wednesday when Nkumba University entertains St Lawrence at their Nkumba fortress in a group B encounter.
Nkumba lost their opening game 1-0 away to Busitema University.
