The draws for 2017/18 Stanbic Uganda Cup tournament will be conducted on Thursday, 12th April 2018 at FUFA House (10 am), Kawowo Sports reliably reports.

FUFA Head of communications, Ahmed Hussein confirmed the development.

“We shall hold the 2017/18 Stanbic Uganda Cup draws at FUFA House on Thursday, 12th Apirl 2018 starting 10 am. All the stake holders are informed and advised to keep time” Ahmed noted.

Like it has been since the round of 64 engagements, FUFA Competitions Director Aisha Nalule will supervise the draws.

There are eight remaining clubs in this event, arguably the oldest and most prestigious knock out competition in Uganda.

Reigning champions KCCA, Sports Club Villa Jogoo, Vipers and Proline are the remaining top flight clubs.

There are three FUFA Big league sides (second tier league); Kansai Plascon, Kitara and Masaka based Synery Football club.

Kampala Junior Team (KJT), a fourth division club is the other team in the quarter finals.

KJT are the tournament dark horses having eliminated giants URA and BUL at the round of 64 and 16 respectively.

There is a hefty prize money lined up for the winner of the Uganda Cup
