Bright Stars Football Club and Soana worked out to a two all draw at the Champions Stadium in Mwererwe on Wednesday.

On two occasions, Soana rallied from a goal down to bring the game even and walk home with at least a point.

With both clubs coming from defeats in the respective matches, a lot was at stake to put right.

For starters, Soana had fallen 2-0 at home to leaders Sports Club Villa Jogoo and Bright Stars relinquished their lead as they bowed out 3-2 away to Vipers.

Henry Kiwanuka scored his first ever goal at Bright Stars since his transfer from Masavu.

Kiwanuka struck the opener after just 8 minutes into game.

Former league winner at KCCA Siraje Turyamuhebwa equalized for the visitors eight minutes later.

League top scorer and Bright Stars captain netted his 11th goal of the campaign, restoring the home side’s lead two minutes to the half hour mark.

Gangly defender Mike Kawooya scored his second league goal with the equalizer for Soana in the 34th minute.

Both sides remained defensive for the rest of the minutes.

Referee Joseph Ochom booked Soana’s Simon Okwi and captain Timothy Musinguzi in the 29th ad 83rd minutes respectively for unsporting conduct.

Soana is 10th on the log with 28 points as Bright Stars is a point lower in 11th place.
