- Kitara Model 1-2 St Peters SS
Hosts Kigumba High School from Kiryandongo district won the 2018 Bunyoro region copa football championship on Saturday.
Kigumba High School defeated St Edward Bukumi S.S from Kakumiro district 1-0 to lift the championship.
The three day’s championship attracted 16 schools from the districts of Kiryandongo, Kagadi and Masindi.
Kigumba High will be joined by St Edwards Bukumi and St Peter’s S.S from Hoima Municipality as the three schools that will represent the region at this year’s Copa national championship in Mbarara district.
The 2018 national championship will be hosted by Mbarara High School in May 2018.
The girls national football event will be hosted in Fort Portal.
