Last year, Namilyango College swept through the Schools Rugby tournament – winning all the three categories (U-15, U-17 and U-19) in a dominant fashion.

Fast forward to 2018, the Fumblers were challenged and managed to get two sides (U-17 and U-19) to the finals but they did just enough to retain their titles on Saturday, April 14 at Kyandodo Rugby Club.

Their traditional rivals St. Mary’s College Kisubi (SMACK) also managed to get two sides (U-15 and U17) to the final and it was Makerere College School (MACOS) facing Namilyango in the main cup.

The juniors got the day underway with St. Mary’s College Kisubi edging King’s College Budo 03-00 on the chilly afternoon.

The U-17s then took then turf and Namilyango emerged victorious to successfully defend their crown, passing the button over to the school’s main team that still had to deal with Makerere College.

Man of the Match, Karim Arinaitwe’s try was enough for the Fumblers to claim glory when the seniors took the soggy Kyadondo pitch.
