Islamic University In Uganda (IUIU) continued with their impressive display at the on-going University Football League with a point earned off defending champions Uganda Martyrs University (UMU), Nkozi on Saturday.
The two universities shared the spoils during a 2 all group D draw played at the IUIU main campus play ground in Mbale.
Mubarak Kagwa gave the home team the lead just two minutes into the game.
The visitors (UMU) equalized through Douglas Oree in the 34th minute.
Muhammad Nakiibi restored the lead for IUIU two minutes later.
Robert Sentono once again brought the game level to 2 all in the 39th minute
For his individual display, Nakiibi was named man of the match.
IUIU, coached by veteran tactician Harunah Kebba now has four points from two matches following their earlier 2-0 win against KIU.
UMU goes to four points as well, but lead the standing given a superior goal difference.
The Nkozi based institution humbled Bishop Stuart University from Mbarara 5-0 in the official opening match.
