Uganda National U-17 national team (The Cubs) recorded their first victory at the on-going 2018 CECAFA U-17 championship in Gitega, Burundi.

A 3-0 comprehensive victory over Sudan was good enough for coaches Peter Onen and Hamza Lutalo’s guided side.

Andrew Kawooya, a player with Proline Junior Team in the FUFA Juniors league led the assault.

Vipers Sports Academy forward Moses Bakabulindi, scorer of that last gasp minute goal against Tanzania on Sunday added the other.

We are happy for this victory but we should have scored 8 or 10 goals against Sudan. We need to be more clinical in front of goal
