After a 1-0 home win against Soana, Alex Gitta, the assistant coach at struggling Masavu Football Club now eyes Vipers Sports Club.

Gitta was a busy party on the touch line as Masavu worked out a 1-0 victory over 10th placed Soana at the lake side Fisheries Training Institute in Bugonga on Wednesday.

Masavu team captain captain Abraham Ndugwa beat Soana goalkeeper Meddie Kibirige from the penalty spot after FIFA Referee Shamira Nabadda awarded the penalty following a hand ball by Musa Mudde in the forbidden area.
Vipers Next in line:
Gitta is well aware of the mountain task that his side harbours as they make the short trip to Kitende against on-form Vipers Sports Club at the intimidating St Mary’s Stadium.
We had lost the previous three games, picked a point off Police and won against Soana. This is an encouraging trend. We need to keep the right fighting spirit and character when we go to Vipers because our case is clear; to fight relegation.
Masavu will continue to miss the services of defender Benjamin Nyakoojo who will be cup tied because of the loan terms.
Midfielder Ddumba Sadala who previously played at Vipers will have the chance to face a club that offered him with valuable playing time back in the days.
Masavu has managed just 5 wins in 25 matches on 23 points and stay bottom placed.
The first round match between Vipers and Masavu was won by the former 2-0.
