Kenya’s Manvir Baryan will this weekend make his debut in South Africa’s round of the Africa Rally Championship.
The 2017 ARC winner hopes the York Rally in the Eastern Pronvince of Mpumalanga will ignite his bid for a second title.
“We were sad we missed the York Rally last year. So we decided why not give it a go this year.
“We heard its a really good event and well organised in all aspects. It will be a great experience to the team,” said Baryan.
With no points so far, the York Rally should set the ball rolling for his ARC title defence.
“Yes, there is a possibility of defending the title after york rally. If we manage to do and finish well we will decide if we do any more after,” he added.
The Multiple Racing Team will be up against some of South Africa’s best including Guy Botterril, AC Portgieter and others.
