After easing past South Sudan 8-1 on aggregate over the two legs, Uganda U-20 national team head coach Mathias Lule boldly asserted that the attention and focus switches to the next in line – Cameroon.

Uganda Hippos overcame South Sudan 3-0 at the Juba Stadium during the return leg of the CAF U-20 qualifiers played on Saturday, progressing 8-1 on aggregate.

Lule underlined the team’s intentions in bold;

We thank the players for the job well done. We prepared well and got the result attained.

Fast Vipers Sports Club striker Steven Desse Mukwala shot the opening goal from over 35 yards for the open in the second half.

He then added the second moments later before paving way for Saddam Masereka.

KCCA left footed youngster Allan Okello capped the icing on the already baked cake.

Lule, who made two changes to the starting eleven from the team that played in the first leg, insists the attention turns to Cameroon;

When we return home, we shall plan for the return leg. Preparations will start immediately

Lule and the rest of the traveling delegation will return on Sunday at Entebbe International Airport.

Cameroon will host the first leg before Uganda will entertain their visitors a fortnight later (dates will be confirmed soon).
