Sports Club Villa Jogoo ejected fourth division side, Kampala Junior Team (KJT) out of the 2017/18 Uganda Cup.

The Jogoos won comprehensively 3-0 against the stubborn side that had earlier eliminated top flight sides URA and BUL.

In a match marred by slight rain drizzles at the Lugogo astro turf on Sunday, George Senkaaba scored the opener in the 10th minute.

Dirisa Kagimu handled the handball in the forbidden area and Martin Kizza converted the resultant penalty two minutes to the half hour mark.

The Jogoos’ left back John Adriko became the first player to be booked for a malicious tackle on gangly KJT forward, Allan Sserunga

Two minutes later, Allan Kyambadde hit the left post after a telling delivery by right back Joseph Nsubuga as the Jogoo intensified their raids. Half time read in bold 2-0 for the Jogoos who are chasing a domestic double.

Left winger Vitalis Tabu replaced Martin Kizza at the restart of the second half. Ten minutes later, Ambrose Kirya came on for Allan Kyambadde.

KJT skipper Nicholas Kabonge shot over the bar off his weaker left foot after 58 minutes.

Substitute Kirya dribbled  past three opponents but his final shot was too weak for the KJT goal keeper Nasif Kabuye after 63 minutes.

Simon Sserunkuma who looked lively paved way for Godfrey Lwesibawa with about 25 minutes left on the clock.

Kirya shot the third goal with a left footed effort into the net barely 20 minutes to the game collapse.

Immediately after Villa’s third goal, KJT called for their opening change; Akram Mugume came on for Derrick Mubiru. Within the next minutes, Patrick Kikonyogo replaced a weary John Ssekyaaya.
