Vipers Sports Club and Uganda U-20 team striker Steven Desse Mukwala has attributed the Uganda Hippos’ 3-0 away victory to South Sudan in the return leg of the CAF U-20 qualifier played on Saturday at the Juba national stadium, Juba.

Uganda thus qualified 8-1 on aggregate after a comprehensive 5-1 home win at the Star Times stadium, Lugogo.
Mukwala who scored twice in the game attributed the victory to collective display from the rest of the players and technical team;
We qualified and played as a complete team.
It was a hard fought victory and we are now eyeing the next game with Cameroon.
After a goal-less 45 opening minutes, Mukwala opened up the goal galore with a long range effort that sent the hundreds of the large Ugandan fans including Uganda’s Ambassador in South Sudan, Anthony Agama Woling in the stadium alight.
Mukwala then added the second before the magic sweet left footed gem, Allan Okello scored the third goal.
The team returns Sunday morning at Entebbe International Airport before they embark on the next opponent – Cameroon.
Cameroon will host the first leg before Uganda will entertain their visitors a fortnight later (dates will be confirmed soon).
