On Sunday, 22nd April 2018, Yasin Mugabi featured for the entire duration of the match as he was on the winning team when Lusaka Dynamos Football Club edged Green Buffaloes 1-0 at the Sunset stadium in Lusaka on Sunday.

Stylish Zambian international, also the team captain at Lusaka Dynamos, Clatous Chota Chama scored the all important goal of the match in the fourth minute.

Mugabi has since heaped special praise on his teammates for the job well done, swiftly recovering from a 1-0 loss on the road at Kabwe Warriors on the previous match-day six.

Praise on goalkeeping coach:

Mugabi has also praised the great cordial working relationship with the goalkeeping coach, Steven Mwansa.

Mwansa, for starters, is also the goalkeeping coach for the Zambia national team, Chipolopolo.

The goalkeeping coach Steven Mwansa is a great coach. He always encourages me in training and has a lot of belief in me as well. This has pushed me going an extra mile day after day.

Mugabi and the rest of his teammates will quickly switch attention to this coming weekend’s fixture away to Kabwe Youth on Saturday.

Zambia has of late become a safe and trusted haven for many Ugandan footballers. Defender Yakubu Ramathan is also contracted at Lusaka Dynamos and so is Joseph Ochaya.
