KCCA manager Mike Mutebi expects a good but tough game when his side hosts bogey side URA at StarTimes stadium, Lugogo.

The reigning champions, third on the log with 45 points must win to keep leaders SC Villa and second placed Vipers in sight.

“When you look at the log and the way it reads, this makes it a must win game for us,” said Mike Mutebi in a pre-match interview. “But overall, we shall approach the game like any other,” he added.

“They are good a side (URA) and picked decent results against Kirinya (2-0) have a coach who believes in good football with an enthusiastic squad.

His opposite number Paul Nkata admits the champions have the advantage but his side will give it all at Lugogo.

“For us, the mission is to finish in a decent position as we prepare for the forthcoming campaign,” said Nkata. “Fortunately, my boys have started to understand how I want us to play and hopefully, we shall give a good account of ourselves,” he added.

The visitors will miss the services of Brian Majwega, on loan from KCCA but with former KCCA striker Herman Wasswa, on form Charles Sempa and Shafik Kagimu in their ranks, they will have questions to ask the hosts.

KCCA are still without long term absentee Ibrahim Sadam Juma as well as Muzamiru Mutyaba and Derrick Nsibambi for the game.

But they are boosted by the presence of Jackson Nunda while the coach will assess the condition of U-20 internationals Julius Poloto and Allan Okello who were on national duty in South Sudan over the weekend.

The Stats

KCCA have won just 4 out of the previous 15 league meetings with URA – the Tax Collectors have won 6 and the rest draws.

The champions have won 2 of their 5 previous games while URA have picked a single win in the same period.
