Ahead of the highly anticipated gigantic clash between Vipers and KCCA, Mike Mutebi hopes the match officials are up to scratch.

The two sides face off at the intimidating St. Mary’s stadium, Kitende on Friday in arguably the biggest game of the season as the title run hits high gear.

“I expect a very good game,” said Mutebi. “It’s a fixture that pits two teams that have arguably some of the best players in the country,” he added before calling on referees to be top notch on the day.

“I hope the referees are up to scratch. I know it’s a big game but they shouldn’t be intimidated because this is a big game. Yes, it’s a big game but if they get it right and the players get it right. I expect a good game.

The gaffer doesn’t believe the game will be a title decider as many have come to term it but says it’s important his team wins.

After tomorrow (Friday), there will be five more games so I don’t think this will decide title. Like I said, the title race will go till the last day but it’s important we pick the result.

Since relocating to Kitende, Vipers have had one of the best fans in the country and Mutebi doesn’t think that will affect his team but instead motivate them.

They have good fans that create a good atmosphere for the players to play. It’s not intimidating as long as fans are supporting well. This will be motivation.

The 12-time champions are yet to be on top of the log this season but a win will see them assume the leadership of the 16-team log with five games to go.
